Enough bad ideas.

100 sketches. 100 bad ideas is the magic number to get where you need to go. At least that’s what we’re taught in school. It’s really not fair to call bad ideas “bad ideas.” In fact, oftentimes, we circle back after 100 ideas to the very first sketch we put on paper. Your first impulse. Pure intuition. But time has taught us that every one of the 99 sketches that followed the first spoke back to us of what was true, genuine, and right about the first sketch. 99 opinions that led us away and back home toward that initial idea. Trust your intuition, but don’t stop there. Do the hard work of pushing out one more sketch, one more word, one more prototype to wipe away the assumptions and shallowness that first place can bring.
