True state of things.
Daylight does not deceive. The land and seas are seen exactly as they are supposed to be seen whether the sky is pure blue or a blanket of clouds softens the sun’s glare. We have no control over it. There is no dial to dim its glare or switch to turn it off. It’s one of the truest phenomena on earth. It’s what we attempt to achieve for our artificial interior spaces. We’ve given names like footcandles, lumens, kelvins, and CRI’s with numbers and calculations in an effort to replicate natures perfection. Daylight makes us feel good. Does your interior home or work space make you feel good? If not, maybe you need to adjust your lighting by doing some math!
