Good design includes both math and the senses. Math answers the logical “why” of a good fit. Proportion and scale are more important than size. Proportion recognizes the relationships of objects to each other. Scale recognizes the relationships of objects to the space. Follow the relationships and the numbers to achieve a natural sense of rhythm and flow.
