Water is blue.

Water in a cup is the same color as water in a swimming pool. Blue. But the amount of water in a cup limits the distance and substance needed to visually reveal the true color. A swimming pool of water appears blue because the water molecules absorb the red spectrum of visible light. In fact, its vibration and absorption through enough water generate the blue color. Motion generates color.
