Problem finding + problem solving.

Research indicates that the most creative people are those who are able to find problems, not just solve them. Because so much information is so readily available to us through so many resources, we must be skilled at sorting through the troves of data to identify the most “relevant and clarifying pieces.”

We must become effective problem-finders. This means keeping our eyes wide open to the world around us; taking note of blips in the landscape of business, community, systems, and service. As we collect the massive amounts of information available to us, the skill of curating what’s already been done (utilizing our unique view of the world) will allow the freedom for meaningful solutions, creating a newly designed formula to the equation.

So, look around. Is there a problem waiting to be discovered? Chances are, you’ve walked by it every day. Today is the day to find it!
