Seat at the table.

The ideal seating arrangement at a table should allow the participants to easily hold a conversation with a minimum of nine people without needing to shout to be heard. Ideally, a table measuring no wider than 40” and 108” long permits an enjoyable ease of conversation. Large round banquet tables often found in large dining halls creates a distance from those across the table that makes it difficult to create an atmosphere of hospitality.

The size and shape of a dining table is one of the most important measurements to take into consideration if creating a sense of hospitality is important to your mission.
